Kayla Pongrác collaborated with the talented team at DesignAgency on the design of Epoch at the Ritz-Carlton Toronto, reimagining a beloved destination while honoring the rich history of its site.

Inspired by the concept of "a city within a park," the interiors embrace informal luxury with bold tones, textured surfaces, and intimate lighting, creating a warm atmosphere for the elevated food and beverage offering. Drawing from the site's history—from its time as the home of Upper Canada Parliament to its role as a transportation hub—the design incorporates industrial details, campaign furniture, and references to travel. Influenced by Toronto’s shifting waterfront, the design uses gradients and layers to capture phases of change, while nods to the city's entertainment industry bring nostalgic, theatrical touches that evoke the glamour of Hollywood North.
